What Do I Do?

I’m Terri Wilson—coach, guide, and founder of choosing2bebetter.

I help people turn intention into action—and action into lasting growth.

With more than 30 years of experience as a corporate executive, entrepreneur, coach, and lay counselor, I’ve walked alongside individuals navigating change, uncertainty, and important decision points. What I’ve learned is simple—and powerful:

Progress matters more than perfection.
Growth happens by choice, not by chance.

My work is grounded in real conversations, steady support, and helping you take responsibility for what comes next—without judgment or pressure. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to carry everything alone.

You just have to be willing to choose better.

And when you are, I’ll be right there with you.

Mission

Empowering intentional growth through choice, clarity and responsibility.

About Me

Terri Wilson

I’ve always known I was here to help people work through the hard stuff. Even as a teenager, I was the one friends turned to when they needed someone to listen. That same thread ran through my corporate career—no matter the role, I was drawn to helping others grow and bring out their best. It was never just part of the job. It was my purpose.

That purpose eventually led me beyond the workplace and into lay counseling, where I’ve walked alongside individuals and couples through some of life’s toughest seasons—relationship struggles, personal identity, and the often messy work of becoming better. What I’ve learned is this: people are complex, and growth is rarely linear. But it is always possible—especially when we’re willing to choose it.

I’m still learning too, and I believe that’s a strength. Choosing to grow, to keep showing up, and to do the honest inner work—that’s what choosing2bebetter is all about. Not perfection. Not pretending. Just the daily decision to move forward with intention.

What I love most about this work is that every person brings a unique story. I meet people where they are and walk with them toward the life and relationships they truly want. When they commit to the work, real change happens—and growth follows.

My personal life grounds this work. I’ve been married for 46 years, and anyone who’s been married for 2 minutes, knows it’s not always easy. I’m incredibly proud to be a wife, mother, mother-in-law, and “T” (not grandma!) to two amazing granddaughters. I know firsthand that even the strongest relationships require effort, grace, and a daily choice to keep growing.

The name choosing2bebetter was inspired by something my son once said after I complimented how he handled a situation at work. He smiled and said, “I’m just trying to be better every day.” That moment stuck with me—because that’s what this journey is really about. Learning, growing, and intentionally choosing to be better.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to join me.

Let’s choose to be better—together.
